I am a full circle creative, and am multifaceted in my creative endeavors. Most importantly, I am a vessel to make people understand their potential and feel proud of not only who they are, but who they can become. Simply put, I’m a woman that loves people. I know no strangers, I thrive on making connections with people. I love being around people, learning from people, and creating with people.
How are you impacting your community?
I am impacting my community through connection, creativity, and conscious. I want to bring people, especially black people, together because there is strength in unity. Most importantly, I’m impacting my community by having a voice and using it, also being an example, leading and guiding as allowed. Using it to speak my truth, using it to protect and uplift my people, and using it to create change. The way I impact the community is by creating a space for people to understand and appreciate black culture.
What advice would you give to someone looking to follow your path in the industry?
Be open to everything. As a creative, boxing yourself in will never allow growth in your life. Connect. As a person looking to be a voice for others, understand the people and you will understand their needs. Listening is easy. It’s comprehension that’s hard.
What separates you from your competitors?
Genuinely, what separates me from every other fashion blogger/influencer or activist is my ability to connect. I make connections with nearly every person I meet. I have remained approachable and relatable at all times throughout my career and I genuinely feel that that is what sets me apart. My compassion for people and my ability to understand them is what has gotten me as far as I am. I think there’s no two people entirely alike in the world, and me, my energy, is what sets me apart.
