My name is India Monee’ and I’m a media maven from Dallas, Texas. Currently I’m working as a Digital Producer for The Rickey Smiley Morning Show and a freelance creative strategist. On top of that, I’m a content creator who loves making Youtube videos and writing blogs. Who I really am is a woman about her business and all about loving yourself to get to that next level. I’m super passionate about creating content, telling stories, and helping people get to their next level.
How are you impacting your community?
One way I’m impacting my community is offering my authentic self to the world. Everyday I show up in the world as myself which is impactful within itself. People love following my journey and asking for help and whenever someone comes my way, I try my best to do what I can. With my new platform, The Journal Entry, I plan to help the community as well with inspiration, self-development, and their personal growth. These are tools that we all need to work on daily to be the best version of ourselves.
What advice would you give to someone looking to follow your path in the industry?
The greatest advice I can give is to believe in yourself no matter what, be consistent, take risks, and always be kind. Believing in yourself can take you so far. Nobody has to believe in your vision but you, because only you can see it. Consistency is something everybody can work on so whatever that looks like for you, do it. Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work so stay consistent with everything. Take those risks! If it makes you feel nervous then jump and just pray that the net to save you will appear. You’ll never know how strong you are until you take risks. Last thing is to always be nice, because you never know who knows who. Remember that first impressions are everything and people will always remember your character. Being nice cost nothing.
What separates you from your competitors?
What separates me from other people is that I’m me and that’s it. That’s my power. My authenticity, charisma, and personality is what makes me different. When you’re your authentic self, you automatically stand apart.
