Please provide a small bio of who you really are.
I am really a person who doesn’t take “no” for a answer. I live my life full of ambition and my ultimate goal when life is over is to have inspired as many people, especially of color to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. I started iDecide Clothing in 2016 at Prairie View A&M University. Initially, I had no clue what I was doing but I stayed consistent. By the time I graduated in Spring 2017, I was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year. I’m not any different from anyone else, I just believe in hard work and praying for what you want out of life.
What are you doing in your craft that impacts your community?
I’m currently a full time school teacher, so when I step into the classroom each and everyday, I understand that my students are everything at point, and it is up to me to pour the right knowledge into them so that they could be successful in the classroom and most importantly life. That’s the impact.
What advice would you give to someone looking to follow your path in the industry?
In the clothing industry, the best advice I could give someone is to identify what target audience you are going and then study the market. It’s not hard, but it does take time. Once you have identified your target audience, give people the best experience you could possibly give. They’ll come back!
